I want to thank the store manager and in general the personnel working here. I had a personal issue about a transaction I had made and they helped me and made me feel at ease. Not only great customer service but great human beings who really care about the service members and customers who shop here. Keep doing an awesome job here! You guys make it worthwhile and I really appreciate your help and assistance. Thank you.
Anyone see something wrong with the picture? Take a look at the highlighted date on the paper and the date on the package. Over a month expired!! (You have to click on the picture to see both dates.) I should know better then to order groceries from the commissary. They always have expired items on the shelves. In the past I’ve returned beef jerky, bacon and a few other things, then I learned to check the dates before I put it in my cart. Guess their grocery stockers and shoppers don’t check for expired items. I’ll still shop here but won’t order again.
It would be great if someone would answer my phone calls
The picture is from the commissary but not of interest. The fact is that this place is only a good deal if you shop selectively. For example, the chicken is a good deal but the beef isn't. It's also low quality (the beef).
The vegetables are average on price but usually low quality which is a shame. The same could be said of the dairy department except for the brand name items. Keep away from their frozen foods. Their handling practices are awful. Food has often (clearly) melted then refrozen.
So, what is the commissary good for? Name brand packaged foods. You'll save 50% on A1 steak sauce, for example. I won't list everything but the products that major manufacturers sell to the commissary at discounted rates are what you should buy there. Skip the stuff that they have to handle and process themselves.
This place has good prices however I will never even try to buy produce here again. 80-90% of the time my family has shopped here either I am not able to get what we need because the produce is visibly rotting/molded/infested with fruit flies or its like today where its crowded so we grab something in a hurry now in the middle of cooking dinner I realise one of us has to go to another store because we have waisted money (yet again) on something that looks like someone let it sit in their fridge to rot for a couple months. Nothing more frustrating than wasting time and money on something that has to go in the trash.
It’s a shame it’s the most affordable groceries in the area, because the issues with service, quality, & variety really make it a horrible experience. Their click-to-go service is awful. Most of the time half your order gets cancelled because they don’t have items. There’s no options for choosing substitutions online either, you just have to leave it up to them to decide what to substitute. It’s impossible planning dinner when things get poorly substituted & cancelled. Then have fun sitting outside for 30 minutes to 1 hour when you go to collect your click to go order because they take that long bringing your groceries. The manager says that’s rare, but we’ve had it happen multiple times. If you pay online, be prepared for an insane surcharge that may take a week to clear. You’ve the option to go inside & pay, but then you stand around for some time waiting for you groceries because they don’t understand how to scan the barcode for the order on a cellphone so you can pay & go back to your car to wait. So you end up waiting up front & when they finally bring your groceries by the time you pay the person meant to load them for you has wandered off. So you end up loading them into your car yourself. I wish I could say the experience inside the store was better, but their produce section is awful. We’ve never had produce go bad so quickly as items we’ve bought from commissary. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for organic & healthy options, be it in the produce section or throughout the store, good luck. Their selection compared to many other grocery stores in the area is seriously lacking. Just save yourself the trouble & grocery shop anywhere else. It’s not worth it.
This place has a great amount of food from all over the world. But the shopping experience for itself is not really enjoyable.
Don't like coming here. Sometimes rude staff.
Go the week after payday you will be okay. Great selection of goods and decent prices.
